Arrived at school at 6.30a.m.Went to fall in and Eben N Desmond were late.Yusshaika couldn't make it as her uncle passed away.Even though she was not there,we have to go without her.After fall out,we went into the band rm and did our warm up exercise.We changed into our half U and when for the FRC.We fall in as a squad at the back of the hall.When the parade commander gave the command,the loud bang was unison.One Band,One Sound.We sang the national anthem loudly and MDM Amrit gave us a thumb up.After FRC, we went to the canteen to have ouir breakfast.After eating ,we went back to the band room to have a final run through.The runthrough was quick and the bus arrived.We board the bus and start our journey to the Singapore Conference Hall.On bus Eben,Desmond and me drank cans of redbull.We reached there just before the reporting time.We sat in concert formation waiting for our turn to go go into the tuning room.After tuning,we proceed up to the wating area outside the hall.We watched how the band before us played on the television.When Mr Faizal asked as"Are you ready?"The whole band replied "Yes Sir!" in a strong tone.The time has come for us to shine.It was our turn to perform.We went up on stage and stand in position.The emcee then announced "Up on stage now is band no. 123,Yuying Secondary School.They will be playing their set piece "Overture no.1" follow by their choice piece "A tone poem for wind orchestra:And then the ocean glows" by Satoshi Yagisawa."I was damm nervous.My whole leg was like trembling non-stop.We played quite nicely for both pieces and Mr Faizal also kept smiling while conducting us.This boosted my conffident level.After the performance, couple of them cried.We went outside of the hall and have a bread before heading back into the hall for the results.After the emcee introduced the judge,he went on to announced the results.The first 2 band got a bronze and i was like OMG.They must be very strict today.When the first gold was presented to Crescent girls,my confident went back.He announced "Yuying Secondary school..........Gold."I almost burst into tears.I can't believe that we have really got our goal.After the announcement of results,we went out ant take pictures with our alunmi,sirs and the teachers.
